Formal Wear Competition ‐ 25%: Each contestant wears a gown she has chosen for herself. You should feel comfortable. Make sure you wear the gown and that it doesn’t wear you. You should simply “shine” for the judges. You will need one full-length evening gown for competition. Your gown should represent your own personality and taste. The style design and color are up to you. You should wear whatever you look and feel the best in. There is no “right” style or color but it must be full length down to the floor (have your dress altered with while wearing your competition shoes). It can be elaborate, or very simple. Choose something that makes you feel beautiful! The important this is to pick a gown style and color that flatters YOU! The judges will be scoring you not the gown. Choose a dress that walks well and shows well on stage. Know that you don’t have to spend a million bucks to look like a million bucks! Teens are encouraged to wear gown that reflect a more youthful style and look than the older contestants. Please keep it age appropriate!

Final Question – 5%: Each delegate will be asked an on-stage question during the evening gown competition. The questions will be drawn at random. The delegate will not get an opportunity to view the questions prior to the pageant.
